Who is invited to audition?
All types of performers including drag, burlesque, dancers, singers, duos, trios, circus performers, etc. Please note the ceilings are low in Ruby Deluxe so we cannot mount any aparatuses to the ceiling. We do have a pressure pole but do not plan to use it for this show unless you bring an act we CANNOT say no to. Also note, there is a cage but not a pole in the audition space.
When are the auditions?
Sunday, May 26 at 7:30pm. Doors will open at 7:30 sharp. Please arrive between 7:30-7:45.
When is the date and time of the show?
Saturday, June 29. Call time will likely be 6-7pm.
What do I need to bring to audition?
1. An audition number showcasing your performance skills AND a concept for a Moulin Rouge themed performance
OR a Moulin Rouge themed performance prepared for the show
2. Music that can be played on Spotify. Mixes are welcome and encouraged for the show
3. A costume concept with photo examples from your personal archives or inspo photos.
4. Water
Where are the auditions and where can I park?
The Wicked Witch, 416 W South St., Raleigh. Street parking is available on the side streets. Go past The Night Rider (the barrels and picnic tables) and enter through the glass door The Wicked Witch sign.
Do I need to sign up to audition?
Nope, just show up and show us what you've got!
